Obituary: Lee Jenkins
Lee Wilson Jenkins was born in Worthington, MN, on February 3, 1924 to parents Edward and Kathryn Ferdinandt Jenkins. He attended Worthington Schools. He attended welding school in Omaha. He enlisted and served his country during World War II in the Navy Seabee's, spending much of his tour on the islands of Eniwetak and Tinian in the Pacific Campaign building the air strips for the bombers that ultimately dropped the atomic bombs on Japan.

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington High School speech team finished sixth out of a field of 16 teams at the St. Peter Speech Tournament last Saturday. Obituary: Arvid Nystrom
Arvid Edwin Nystrom, age 90, died on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Crossroads Care Center in Worthington. He was born July 22, 1922 in Bigelow Township, Nobles County, Minnesota to Peter Gust and Sigrid Marie (Ericson) Nystrom. He attended country school and graduated from Worthington High School in 1940. His mother died when Arvid was three years old and her sister Alma came from Sweden to help raise the three sons until Arvid married.
