Michael Kirkwood
Michael Kirkwood, age 60, a 14-year resident of Ft. Mohave, Ariz. died on Thursday, April 4, 2013 in Ft. Mohave. He was born on April 3, 1953 in Kansas City, Mo. He served as a Chief Warrant Officer in the United States Navy for 22 years, and worked as an Engineman for the BNSF Railroad. Michael was preceded in death by his sister, Pamela Kirkwood. He is survived by two sons, Carlton D. Kirkwood of San Francisco, California, and Marcus Kirkwood of Amarillo, Texas; father and mother, Joseph and Hannah Kirkwood of Smithfield, VA. ;brother, Andre Kirkwood, of Virginia Beach, VA. The family requests any donations be made to Operation Freedom Paws, a non-profit that helps veterans train service dogs (www.operationfreedompaws.org.)
