MENS BASKETBALL: Minnesota West men fall to Iowa Lakes
WORTHINGTON — For about a 9 minute stretch of the second half, the Minnesota West men’s basketball team couldn’t buy a field goal. Iowa Lakes preserved a 99-86 victory against MW on Tuesday at Worthington High School by using a 28-12 second-half run, which came after the Bluejays held a 64-61 lead with 13½ minutes remaining.

YOUTH SWIMMING: Stingrays’ Doeden swims to regional level
WORTHINGTON — Bryan Doeden became a regional qualifier during the Worthington Stingrays dual meet against Southdale on Saturday. Doeden, who was second in the 14-and-under 50 freestyle, posted a time of 27.29 seconds to secure his feat. He joined Tim Skog, Sarah Janssen, Oliver Wolyniec, Madison Neuberger and Cameron Jensen as the sixth regional qualifier from Worthington. It will be Doeden’s first trip to the regional meet, which will be held in Minneapolis in March.
