Nobles Co-op Electric gets 500 households powered Saturday; 97 crews working today
9:45 a.m. Sunday press release: WORTHINGTON -– We are making progress! Yesterday, Nobles Cooperative Electric estimated that 2,500 members were without power, today those numbers show dramatic improvement with 2,000 members out of power. The cooperative can now report that 95 percent of our three-phase (main) line is restored.

JACKSON -- 530 Federated members had power restored Saturday. “We are down from 800 co-op members without power yesterday to 270 as of 7 a.m. Sunday,” said Joe Marthaler, Federated’s operations manager. “Today’s focus involves crews rebuilding 21 miles of power lines due to downed poles. To give you an idea of how many poles that is, some stretches have 16 out of 20 poles downed per mile of line.”
