PREP SOFTBALL: Pipestone Area advances to state MARSHALL — Bailey Bouman sprinted from the pitcher’s circle, dived toward the first-base line and made a spectacular catch in front of her team’s dugout. As soon as she pulled herself to her feet, and before she could brush the dirt and the chalk off her black Pipestone Area softball jersey, senior catcher Karli Deschepper leaped into Bouman’s arms. The rest of their teammates exploded from the dugout and sprinted in from the field, joining in an emotional celebration at the Marshall Softball Complex.
