WORTHINGTON — Those who live in southwest Minnesota have already had a taste of winter this fall, and with the snow, freezing rain and slippery roads, there have been vehicle crashes, cars in the ditch and people injured.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The severe thunderstorm warning for Nobles and Jackson counties has ended. A thunderstorm watch will remain in effect for Nobles, Jackson, Cottonwood, Murray and Rock counties in Minnesota and Lyon, Osceola, Dickinson and O'Brien counties in Iowa until 9 p.m. tonight.

WORTHINGTON — June went into the weather record book as slightly cooler than usual with rainfall very close to the usual.

Hail, tornado strike area 
WORTHINGTON — A trained weather spotter reported a tornado on the ground three and a half miles southwest of Fulda shortly before 9 p.m. Thursday, prompting a tornado warning to be issued for northeastern Nobles, southern Cottonwood, northwestern Jackson and southeastern Murray counties. As of press time, no damage had been reported.
