Osceola County nonprofits reap rewards of grants
SIBLEY, Iowa — In an early evening ceremony Thursday, 26 nonprofit groups accepted more than $80,300 in grant dollars from the Community Foundation of Osceola County. It is the seventh year the foundation has awarded grants, and Thursday’s distribution brings the total amount of grants awarded to more than $500,000.

Jury trial awaits in Osceola County for Minten, Weber
SIBLEY, Iowa — Now that a federal judge has granted a summary judgment for former Osceola Deputy Daniel Minten in a case against Sheriff Doug Weber, attorneys for both sides are arguing what should and should not be admissible in court during an upcoming jury trial to determine damages.
