Worthington facility will host Old-Fashioned Christmas on Thursday and Friday
WORTHINGTON — Musical entertainers, young dancers, village strollers and local vendors are coming together to offer two fun-filled evenings of Old-Fashioned Christmas at Pioneer Village Thursday and Friday.
Youthful ghosts and goblin invited to trek Worthington trail
WORTHINGTON — Ghosts, goblins and other assorted ghouls who brave the Halloween Trail on Saturday night should be well rewarded for donning their costumes a bit early this year.
Production will be staged Oct. 12-14
WORTHINGTON — “Leaving Iowa,” a production by Grassroots Community Theatre, will be at 8 p.m. Oct. 12-14 in the Village Hall of Pioneer Village. An “Iowa supper” will precede the play from 6:45-7:45 p.m. in the Village Saloon.
Members of Early Risers Kiwanis, who weren’t able to physically paint on the schoolhouse and front office building, donated to purchase hours given in service by the high school AOK (Art Optimist Kiwanis) Club. The club worked vigorously after school for 34 hours until the end of the school year. Gail Holinka, adviser to the AOK Club, strongly encouraged the service project and even personally picked up the brush.
