REDWOOD FALLS —On an ideal day for high school track and field competition, Worthington’s Will Dudley outdueled Redwood Valley’s Randy Juell in the boys’ pole vault and set a new WHS school record in the process, soaring over the bar at 14 feet, one inch.
WORTHINGTON — Blake Rogers pitched a complete game shutout with nine strikeouts and five hits to lead the Worthington Trojans to a 3-0 victory over the Pipestone Area Arrows during a Southwest Conference baseball game Thursday.
PIPESTONE — Producer and film maker Jennifer Kramer stumbled upon Pipestone during a Google search, but from what she could see online, she said she knew she had found the location to film the short film “The Sand Box.” On Monday, Kramer will be in Pipestone to share more about the project and for the screening of her other short film, “Looking Past You.”
LUVERNE — Ellen Dahl pitched two complete games and went 4-for-7 at the plate with six RBIs to lead the Luverne Cardinals to a two-game sweep of the Windom Eagles during a Southwest Conference doubleheader Saturday.
JACKSON — Joe Brinkman and Kyle Christopher each carded 42s to lead the Jackson County Central boys golf team to a 172-203 victory over Pipestone Area Thursday, and Lexie Hoffman and Alison Benson each totaled 46 strokes to pace the JCC girls squad.
