Live auction returns to Relay For Life
WORTHINGTON — Janet Smid is a four-year cancer survivor. She’s also an avid quilter since retiring from full-time work more than a decade ago. This spring, Smid made a quilted wall hanging using the phrases from the “What Cancer Cannot Do” verse and pieced together a keepsake she intended to hang on the wall of her Worthington home.

WORTHINGTON — Though it has been two months since the Nobles County Relay for Life wrapped up its overnight event in Worthington, the money has continued to pour in — so much so that on Friday night, a collection taken at the grandstand during the Nobles County Fair pushed the final fundraising tally over the $100,000 mark.
