End of an era for RL-B

School district takes initial steps to close high school
ROUND LAKE — After years of declining enrollment and subsequent financial difficulties, the Round Lake-Brewster School District has begun the consolidation process and is in the preliminary planning stages of closing the Round Lake high school and establishing secondary tuition agreements with neighboring school districts.

SLAYTON — Ashley Woldt had a match-high nine kills, leading Murray County Central to a sweep of Round Lake-Brewster in a Red Rock Conference match on Monday night. With the win, the Rebels finished 13-7 overall and 9-2 in the conference to earn a tie for second place. Westbrok-Walnut Grove and Southwest Star Concept also finished 9-2 this season.
