WORTHINGTON — Starting on an 11-0 run and finishing with a 27-6 surge in the first half Saturday afternoon, the top-seeded Ellsworth Panthers built a 50-21 halftime lead and claimed a 79-50 victory over the eighth-seeded Edgerton Flying Dutchmen in the first of four Section 3A South boys’ basketball tournament quarterfinal games at Worthington High School.
