Classy, classic numbers fill program for string students 
WORTHINGTON — A “Night of Classics” is in store for fans of the thriving District 518 orchestra program. Under the direction of Melanie Loy, 139 string students are tuning up for the annual All-School Orchestra Concert, set for next Thursday night at 7 p.m. in the Worthington High School (WHS) gymnasium.

Local musician will play at Minnesota WestWORTHINGTON — Back in the 1970s, Jane “Janie” Becker entertained diners by playing the organ — along with some hosting duties — at Michael’s Restaurant in Worthington. On Saturday evening, she’ll be back at a Worthington keyboard once again, this time performing a concert in the Fine Arts Theater at Minnesota West Community and Technical College, Worthington campus.
