Jackson County Central senior excels in three major areas including athletics, arts
JACKSON — Joel Hartzler, a senior at Jackson County Central High School, was recognized Thursday at Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall for being selected to represent Region 3A in the Academics, Arts and Athletic (Triple ‘A’) Award Program.

It’s the advice of two of Worthington High School’s most involved students. Seniors Sameera Nalla and Dayton Williamson were honored with the school’s Triple ‘A’ Award for their excellence in academics, arts and athletics — and both say the activities they ‘took a chance on’ later become rewarding experiences.
At a special city council meeting Wednesday, council members and others in attendance discussed the importance of asking senior citizens (and not-yet-senior citizens) about what they would like to see in a long- sought-after senior center.
