WINDOM — Scoring three goals in each period, the Luverne Cardinals earned a share of the Southwest Conference boys hockey championship with a 9-0 victory over the Windom Area Eagles Monday night at the Windom City Arena.

Lauren Christensen, Katie Eeten and Makayla Sterrett each had a pair of goals for Luverne (3-2-1), while Madi Oye and Madisyn Dingmann each found the back of the net once.
WINDOM — The Luverne girls’ hockey team lost a bulk of its offensive capacity in the offseason.
However, the Cardinals had no problems with its offense in its season-opener, easily defeating Windom Area 13-0 on Thursday night.
WILMONT — Led by left-hander Bryce Grove on the mound and at the plate Saturday night, the red-hot Windom Pirates claimed an 11-0, eight-inning victory over the Wilmont Cardinals in the Region 13C amateur baseball championship game at Butts Probst Field.
