I guess you could call us Wisconsiphiles. Hubby Bryan and I are hooked on visiting the Badger State. We make several forays across the border every year. When the weather is warm, we head there in our Jeep Wrangler, sans top, to cruise the winding roads through wooded trees and valleys that are so different from our flat part of the world.

OAK CREEK, Wis. (AP) — An unidentified gunman killed six people at a Sikh temple in suburban Milwaukee on Sunday in a rampage that left terrified congregants hiding in closets and others texting friends outside for help.
HUDSON, Wis. — Wisconsin has paid off a nearly $60 million debt to Minnesota, opening the door for a new agreement allowing residents of one state who work in the other to just file one state income tax form.
Minnesota unions, governor support Wisconsin workers
ST. PAUL — A thousand Minnesota union workers, some still wearing their hard hats, rallied in the state Capitol after work Tuesday to show support for their Wisconsin brethren who are fighting a Republican governor and legislators working to remove most public employee bargaining rights.
“We are all in this fight together,” Stillwater teacher Josiah Hill said. “Today, we are all Badgers.”

A little travel trailer and one small tent were the only camping units occupying any of the 62 campsites at Pattison State Park south of Superior on a recent night.
Area students at Bethel University, Concordia University, Gustavus Adolphus College, Iowa Lakes Community College, Kirkwood Community College, Minnesota West Community and Technical College, Missouri University of Science & Technology, Morningside College and North Dakota State University were named to the Dean's list.
