ST. PAUL — Minnesota has appealed a federal government decision not to provide financial aid for individuals recovering from June storms as legislators begin preparing for a special session to deal with recent storm costs.

State Housing Trust Fund releases $268,000 for 2011
SPENCER, Iowa — Low-income homeowners in O’Brien, Osceola and Lyon counties may now apply for funding to repair their homes.
The State Housing Trust Fund has released nearly $268,000 to the Northwest Iowa Regional Housing Trust Fund Inc. for fiscal year 2011.
New formula takes effect on Monday
