Carrie Nelson’s murderer exhausts Minnesota appellate opportunities
LUVERNE — Unless Randy Leeroyal Swaney can find a federal issue to cite, which is unlikely, his remedies for an August 2008 murder conviction have been exhausted and the man accused of murdering Blue Mound State Park worker Carrie Nelson will stay in prison for the rest of his life.
WORTHINGTON — The Minnesota Court of Appeals filed an opinion Tuesday denying a motion made by federal prisoner Andy Roger Baccam, who was convicted in April 2003 of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and possession of a firearm during a drug trafficking crime.
