Commissioners to take formal action today for March 1 appointment
WORTHINGTON — Nobles County Commissioners this morning will formally appoint Deputy County Attorney Kathleen Kusz to fill the county attorney post, effective March 1. It’s the same day Gordon Moore moves into his new role as a District Court Judge.
Swanson delivers warnings about consumer scams
WORTHINGTON — Lori Swanson, Minnesota’s Attorney General since 2007 and the first female to fill the position, visited Worthington Saturday afternoon, hearing concerns, questions and complaints from a group of about 25 DFL faithful and other interested parties.
WORTHINGTON — Judge Timothy Connell, reiterating comments made by Nobles County Attorney Gordon Moore, spoke of the sense of disquiet in a neighborhood after a violent act, stating he couldn’t find a way to overcome that and sentencing Adrian Martinez to 74 months in prison.
SLAYTON — Murray County Attorney Paul Malone made a point to be sure the name of a young victim would be properly protected during a criminal sexual conduct plea hearing Monday morning in Murray County District Court.
