WORTHINGTON — The Southwest Crisis Center is hosting an online auction fundraiser to generate funds to serve victims and survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, trafficking and child abuse in Cottonwood, Jackson, Nobles, Rock and Pipestone counties.

WORTHINGTON — Janet Smid is a four-year cancer survivor. She’s also an avid quilter since retiring from full-time work more than a decade ago.
This spring, Smid made a quilted wall hanging using the phrases from the “What Cancer Cannot Do” verse and pieced together a keepsake she intended to hang on the wall of her Worthington home.

SIBLEY, Iowa — Dolores Fink is feeling a bit lonely these days. Many of her longtime companions have moved to temporary quarters at the McCallum Museum.
Dolores has donated 65 dolls — from a collection that is just slightly larger than that — to be auctioned off, with proceeds going to the Sibley historical site.
