ROSEMOUNT — The Achievement Center of Worthington will receive $2,000 from Minnesota Energy Resources “It’s Worth the Energy” program after garnering the second highest number of votes in a Facebook campaign.
LUVERNE — With nine buildings already listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the city of Luverne learned Wednesday it will receive a $16,600 grant from the Minnesota Historical Society to evaluate the historical significance of Luverne’s downtown commercial and civic core in the hope that an historic district can be established.
County readies for work on west end of Oxford Street
WORTHINGTON — R&G Construction, Marshall, was awarded a contract Tuesday to do the work on the proposed Nobles County trail system along County State Aid Highway 35 and Crailsheim Drive.

WORTHINGTON — The 15-county Fifth Judicial District in southwest Minnesota has been awarded a $350,000 grant over the course of the next three years to establish a drug court in Nobles, Rock, Cottonwood, Pipestone and Murray counties. These are the only counties in the district not yet served by a drug court.
