Power out for more than 4,000 in Nobles and Jackson countiesWORTHINGTON — Nobles Cooperative Electric went from more than 3,400 member households without power Thursday morning to approximately 3,200 households without power by 4 p.m. Yet while the numbers were declining, there’s still much work to be done, and concerns linger about downed power lines under the weight of ice and snow.

Worthington man dies in rollover
WORTHINGTON — A young Worthington man died early Friday morning at Sanford Worthington Medical Center after being involved in a one-vehicle rollover.
Mitchell James Benson, 20, of Worthington, was brought to the emergency room by a private party, according to information released by the Nobles County Sheriff’s Office.
