ST. PAUL — White Earth Nation’s proposal to build a Twin Cities casino that could help fund a new Vikings stadium received little support from key policymakers Thursday after the tribe’s leader said it would be the best option for Minnesotans.

LARCHWOOD, Iowa — The equity and financing commitments for the proposed Lyon County Resort & Casino, LLC were reviewed Thursday by the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission, but formal action has not yet been taken.
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A tour bus driver suffered a ruptured aneurysm just before the bus veered off a southern Minnesota interstate and crashed, killing two people and injuring 20, the owner of the bus company said Thursday. State officials said they couldn't confirm the aneurysm and it was too early to know the cause of the crash.

Voters overwhelmingly approve proposal ROCK RAPIDS, Iowa — Lyon County voters overwhelmingly approved Tuesday a proposed casino and resort that will be located near Larchwood. The $90 million project is slated to include a 100-room hotel, an 18-hole golf course, and 800 slot machines and 24 gaming tables in the casino.
Residents of Lyon County will vote Sept. 23 on a referendum that would bring a proposed $90 million resort and casino one step closer to fruition.
