Parties release claims, no money will be exchanged
WORTHINGTON — Nobles County commissioners were notified Tuesday morning a settlement agreement and release absolves any potential claims against the county related to the Nobles County State Aid Highway 1 bridge collapse on Oct. 19, 2010.

WORTHINGTON - Nobles County commissioners spent more than a half-hour in closed session Tuesday morning to discuss an anticipated claim against the county by Mid-State Reclamation and Trucking related to the Oct. 19, 2010, bridge collapse on County State Aid Highway 1, south of Brewster.
Transportation experts say states reviewed bridge policies after the Interstate 35W bridge collapse, but wonder if the issue will be a national priority long after this week’s findings from a collapse investigation.
