WORTHINGTON — The Worthington School District has a number of great things happening such as band camp this week, the replacement of the gym floor at the High School, increasing enrollment, other facility upgrades and the one that will be starting next week — the tennis court project.
WORTHINGTON — Wow! The day is finally here! Soon we’ll cross this very stage and receive our diplomas. If you look around at everyone in this gym, you’ll see something very unique. Though we may be involved in many things, with many different people, no two people have taken the same path to get to this point in our lives.
WORTHINGTON — District 518, like many other districts in Minnesota, is focusing efforts on closing the achievement gap for all students. There are a number of programs, software and remediation efforts that can help work towards this.
WORTHINGTON — Our third annual Science Fair took place recently at Prairie Elementary. All third- and fourth-grade students were invited to participate. This year, we had more than 60 participants involved in about 40 different projects.

WORTHINGTON — What’s new at Worthington Middle School? Well, it’s not the office or the 12 classroom additions, and it’s not the upgrade to our heating, cooling and electrical systems. That’s all last year’s news.
WORTHINGTON — The 2011 Week of the Young Child (WOYC) is April 10-16 and the theme is Early Years Are Learning Years. The WOYC is an annual celebration sponsored by the National Association of Young Children (NAEYC).
WORTHINGTON — We live in a world that is very global in nature and transforms on a daily basis, which puts pressure on school districts to meet the needs of students, parents and communities. These continual changes are present in the Worthington School District.
WORTHINGTON — It’s a transitional time of the year, both in terms of weather and high school activities. Most of the springs sports practices are under way, and the fine arts activities are winding down.
