WORTHINGTON — The 15-county Fifth Judicial District in southwest Minnesota has been awarded a $350,000 grant over the course of the next three years to establish a drug court in Nobles, Rock, Cottonwood, Pipestone and Murray counties. These are the only counties in the district not yet served by a drug court.
WORTHINGTON — Less than a month after he was sentenced in Jackson County for second-degree controlled substance sale, Roland Ybarra, 28, of Lakefield, was sentenced in Nobles County District Court for fifth-degree controlled substance possession.
PIPESTONE — The Pipestone County Sheriff’s Office arrested two women on unrelated drug charges last week while going about other business.
On May 25, a deputy went to a residence in Pipestone to advise Michelle Marie Gallop, 21, that the car she had reported stolen had been located in Virginia, Minn.
WORTHINGTON — A truck driver stopped for a day on suspicion of hauling illegal narcotics in a tractor/trailer was sent on his way after analysis of a powdery substance in his load tested negative for drugs.

PIPESTONE — Pipestone deputies serving a warrant on a dishonored check case ended up with more than they planned for when they discovered the woman they were looking for was in possession of methamphetamine.
