Lack of housing affects employees, employers alike

WORTHINGTON — When Erick Baumgart moved into Worthington, he couldn’t find a place to live.

WORTHINGTON — Marco has announced that it distributed $2.1 million in stock benefits for fiscal 2011 to eligible employees. The 421 employees celebrated last week at the annual shareholders’ meeting where they learned about Marco’s 17.2 percent stock appreciation and received a certificate identifying their ownership stake.
SLAYTON — Jim and Carla Goedtke, as well as Sydney Carlson of Investors Choice Financial Services Inc. of Slayton and Marshall, recently attended the American Portfolios Financial Services (APFS) National Conference, “Connections 2011.”
Employees want to protect their positions
LUVERNE — The committee tasked with working out issues to dissolve the Nobles-Rock Community Health Services agency met in Luverne Wednesday morning to continue discussions related to the approaching Dec. 31 split. Much of the two-hour meeting, however, was spent discussing the recent move by public health employees to unionize.
