WORTHINGTON — I have covered game and fish enforcement several times over the past years in this column. I was usually campaigning for more of it and described the challenges that we have faced in this area over the past decade. There was an extended period of time that Minnesota was very short-staffed in the conservation officer department.
A rural Westbrook man facing a fifth-degree controlled substance possession charge in Nobles County has now been charged with two counts of fifth-degree controlled substance crimes in Murray County as well.
WORTHINGTON — A rural Westbrook man will spend the weekend in jail after being charged with fifth-degree controlled substance possession — a felony that carries a maximum penalty of five years incarceration.
A bail hearing is set for Monday.
Judge Bruce Gross issued an order last week finding a Mountain Lake man guilty of four counts of second-degree assault — a decision that arose from a Cottonwood County District Court trial in February.
