124th commencement speakers urge seniors to take charge of their lives
WORTHINGTON — On a rainy but warm Friday night, a comfortably air-conditioned Worthington High School (WHS) gymnasium was the site of the school’s 124th commencement ceremony, at which 137 seniors crossed the stage and bid a fond farewell to their high school careers before a standing-room-only audience.
Worthington Area Language Academy student Brithney Esparza was one of the 34 kindergartners to graduate during the WALA 2010 Commencement Ceremony Thursday night in Worthington. The school will not reopen in the fall. District 518 will add twelve full-time staff to compensate for student increase.

WORTHINGTON — If the haberdashery displayed by the male graduates of the Worthington High School (WHS) Class of 2010 at the school’s 123rd commencement ceremony last night is any indication, the 152 graduates are a diverse bunch indeed.
