WORTHINGTON — It took more than 90 minutes of discussion and questions, but in the end the Worthington City Council unanimously approved the $400,000 bridge loan to the Lexington Hotel Development (LHD), contingent on the stipulation that all of the personal guarantees are verified.
Developers interested in plans, lenders leary of high-risk investments
WORTHINGTON — The city’s financial advisers presented suggestions for pushing forward the stagnant events center project at the council’s special meeting Monday, but none of the options are overly appealing to council members, who face a dearth of developers willing to invest in the project.
WORTHINGTON — The city will soon solicit a request for proposals from developers for its combination events center and hotel complex.
The council heard Monday from Steve Sherf, president of Hospitality Consulting Group Inc., who reviewed his research on the feasibility of such a complex.
WORTHINGTON — Construction of the city’s hotel and events center has already been postponed once, but it is hoped the events center feasibility study will give the Worthington City Council what it needs to set the project in motion.
