In final day of session, tax bill heads to passage, ice storm relief uncertain ST. PAUL — The keystone of Minnesota Democrats’ budget plans, $2 billion in tax increases, was headed for final legislative passage while late Sunday a public works bill remained in doubt as time runs out in the 2013 legislative session.
There’s a little more to the story told by District 22 Sen. Bill Weber as to why Worthington’s Biotechnology Advancement Center may not receive $313,947.17 in state funding during this legislative session.
Following a nearly nine-hour debate on the Minnesota House floor, the Minnesota House Democratic majority approved a nearly $2.7 billion tax increase proposal that will financially impact every Minnesotan.
