WORTHINGTON — An influx of new and part-time students means enrollment is up nearly 4 percent within the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system, and Minnesota West Community and Technical College is no exception.
FORT DODGE, Iowa — Wrestling at the North Central Tournament Sunday, Minnesota West had seven wrestlers compete.
Two of those wrestlers will advance to the national tournament Feb. 27-28 in Rochester.
Ashton Griffon (125) and Ryan Teal (157) each finished sixth and were selected to advance to nationals.

WORTHINGTON — Making key plays when it needed to in the game’s closing minutes, Riverland Community College escaped with a hard-fought, 74-69, victory over Minnesota West Wednesday evening in a Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) Southern Division women’s basketball contest.
The victory improves the Austin-based school’s overall record to a sparkling mark of 19-4, while keeping the Blue Devils securely in second place in the division with a 7-2 record.
