ST. PAUL — Southwest Christian junior sprinter Nicholas Pfeifle ran two consecutive quarters under 50 seconds at the state high school track and field meet at Hamline University Friday and Saturday, highlighting area boys’ performances at the showcase event.
Worthington’s 4x200 meter relay set new Trojan school records each day and finished a strong third in Saturday’s finals with a sizzling time of 1:30.50.
A total of eight area boys brought home 10 medals from the meet, as both Pfeifle and Worthington junior Aduo Omot earned a pair.
