WORTHINGTON — Forty-two years ago this week, Mike Hibma was a fresh-faced kid who reported for his first day of work at a brand-new manufacturing plant on Rowe Avenue in Worthington.
WORTHINGTON — The Nobles County Planning Commission has tabled a request from Mortenson Construction & enXco to develop a lay down yard, construction offices and a concrete mix plant on land in the northeast quarter of Section 6, Dewald Township. The action was taken during the commission’s March 31 meeting.
City Council votes in wastewater sale proposal, JBS interested
WORTHINGTON — The Worthington City Council voted Monday night to take the first step in examining the feasibility of selling the city’s industrial wastewater treatment facility. JBS has expressed interest in owning the plant, and is the facility’s primary user.
The evacuation of Brewster was lifted at 12:55 a.m. Sunday, and residents are now free to return to their homes in the community. Residents were evacuated shortly after 10 p.m., when a fire at Minnesota Soybean Processors in Brewster warranted extra precautions. More details will be posted.
