Biodiesel production declined in 2010
BREWSTER — Minnesota Soybean Processors of Brewster has been awarded nearly $400,000 in U.S. Department of Agriculture funds to help offset the cost of soybeans used in the production of biodiesel. The funds, authorized by the 2008 Farm Bill, are funded through the USDA’s bioenergy program for advanced biofuels.
Passage of biodiesel tax credit sparks industry rebound
BREWSTER — When President Barack Obama signed the 2010 tax relief bill on Friday, making the biodiesel tax credit retroactive to Jan. 1 and extending it through the end of 2011, the phones began to ring at Minnesota Soybean Processors (MnSP).
