WORTHINGTON — The sound of cars tearing around the race track on Sunday nights in Worthington may be a thing of the past after members of Nobles County Speedway Inc. (NCSI) and the Nobles County Fair Association couldn’t reach agreement on a new contract.
WORTHINGTON — The sound of cars tearing around the race track on Sunday nights in Worthington may be a thing of the past after members of the Nobles County Speedway, Inc. and the Nobles County Fair Board couldn't reach agreement on a new contract.
WORTHINGTON — One day being inducted into the hall of fame is the dream of most every athlete around the world. This last week, that dream has come true for Bill Smith and Gordy Vogelaar, two area racecar drivers.
WORTHINGTON — The Nobles County Speedway continued its racing season Sunday night with a full slate of action sponsored by Graham Tire. No Limit Graphics will sponsor this coming Sunday’s races, with hot laps scheduled to begin as always at 5:30 p.m. and racing at 6 p.m.
WORTHINGTON — Another full slate of racing took place Sunday at Nobles County Speedway, with First State Bank Southwest sponsoring the action.
More racing is scheduled for this Sunday, with Pizza Ranch serving as the sponsor. Hot laps begin at 5:30 p.m., with racing starting at 6.

WORTHINGTON — Nobles County Speedway opened its season Sunday with great weather, a great car count and a wonderful track, with drivers in all five classes putting on a great show. Racing action was sponsored by Wal-Mart.
Racing on this coming Sunday night will be sponsored by Schwalbach Harware and Schwalbach HVAC. Here are this past Sunday’s results by class:
No resident outside of Iowa has ever been dubbed the United States Racing Association’s (USRA) hobby stock national champion. Thirty-two-year-old Worthington resident Dan Strandberg changed all of that, winning the 2011 championship in his first full season with the USRA.
WORTHINGTON — Worthington Excavating was the sponsor for Sunday night’s full slate of racing at Nobles County Speedway. The racing served as a conclusion to the 130th edition of the Nobles County Fair.
