WORTHINGTON — The Sports and Recreation Committee of the Worthington Area Convention and Visitors Bureau is sponsoring the sixth annual Worthington Regatta Bike Ride on June 9 in conjunction with the Worthington Windsurfing Regatta and Unvarnished Music Festival.
WORTHINGTON — According to the Minnesota Department of Public Safety (DPS), there are almost 230,000 registered motorcycles in the state, with more than 400,000 licensed operators at the close of 2011. Ridership is at record-high levels.
WORTHINGTON — Shortly after they pedaled their way into Worthington on Friday afternoon, three of the four bicyclists jumped back onto their bikes and headed out to a local store to purchase “new shoes and milk for a cup of tea.”
Children ride a train through the city park in Rock Rapids Saturday afternoon as part of that community’s Heritage Days celebration. The afternoon in the park also included inflatables for the kids and a car and motorcycle show.
WORTHINGTON — The Prairie Holdings Group Relay for Life team will host the second annual Bug Splat motorcycle ride June 4. Registration is from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Prairie Holdings Center on U.S. 59, just north of I-90.

WORTHINGTON — In the state of Minnesota, 455 people lost their lives due to alcohol-related crashes in 2008, according to the Minnesota Department of Public Safety. More than 35,000 people were arrested for driving while impaired.
WORTHINGTON — Last year, more than 40 bicyclists took to the roads around Worthington for the first Regatta Bike Ride. Although pleased with the turnout, organizers would like to improve on those numbers the second time around.
