WORTHINGTON — For more than 40 minutes Saturday morning, a steady stream of distance runners made a right turn off of Seventh Avenue on to Tenth Street and made the gradual uphill climb the final four blocks to the finish line on the corner of 10th and Third Avenue, completing Worthington’s 33rd annual Turkey Day 10K road race, in the 35-to-75 minute time range.

WORTHINGTON — On a cool, overcast, windy morning, a total of 569 runners completed the 32nd annual Turkey Day 10K Saturday, starting and finishing on 10th Street with a loop all the way around Lake Okabena in between.
HERON LAKE — Wabasso’s Joel Dudgeon and Fulda’s Janet Ciesielski were the male and female winners, respectively, of the Paul Fest Memorial five-mile road race Saturday morning.
Running as part of Heron Lake’s Quasquicentennial (125 years) Celebration, the 41-year old Dudgeon blistered a fast pace from start to finish, clocking a winning time of 27 minutes, 21 seconds.
