Cost-share available to repair, install erosion control practices
WORTHINGTON — Farmers in 29 Minnesota counties, including those in the six counties of far southwest Minnesota, are now eligible for up to 100 percent cost-share to repair or install existing erosion control practices due to late-September flooding.
LISMORE — Jim Knips of rural Lismore will mark his 30th year on the Nobles County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) board of directors next year, but perhaps what is more impressive is that his family’s history on the board dates back to its inaugural year in 1955.
SWCD will assist with new groves, furthering existing growth The Nobles County Soil and Water Conservation District has more than $10,000 in state cost-share money to assist landowners in establishing new groves and shelterbelts, or to repair or enhance existing tree growth.
