WORTHINGTON — Finding an answer for every challenge Southwest Star Concept threw their way Saturday night, the third-seeded Hills-Beaver Creek Patriots held onto the lead the entire second half and earned a 72-61 victory over the sixth-seeded Quasars in the quarterfinals of the Section 3A South boys’ basketball tournament — capping the annual “Super Saturday” event at Worthington High School.
WESTBROOK — Dominating every phase of the game in the first half Thursday night, Southwest Star Concept hustled and shot its way to an impressive 51-15 lead on Round Lake-Brewster in an opening round game of the Section 3A South high school boys’ basketball tournament.
OKABENA — Six players scored between eight and 15 points for Ellsworth Monday night, as the Panthers wrapped up another undefeated Red Rock Conference championship with a 77-65 victory over the Southwest Star Concept Quasars in a well-played boys’ basketball game.
WORTHINGTON — Keyed by a 9-0 run coming out of the halftime break Saturday afternoon, the second-seeded Red Rock Central Falcons exploded for 49 second-half points to erase a five-point deficit and claim a 68-51 victory over the seventh-seeded Southwest Star Concept Quasars in the quarterfinals of the Section 3A South girls’ basketball tournament.
