ST. PAUL — Spring truck weight restrictions on state highways in the Twin Cities metro and southeast Minnesota frost zones will end today, and weight restrictions for the south frost zone are scheduled to end Friday.
A cement truck carrying a full load rolled onto its side Tuesday afternoon while attempting to make a left turn on Nobles 16 after traveling north on Minnesota 91. The Lismore Fire Department freed the driver from the cab, then spent hours washing out the truck with their fire hoses so it could be stood back up and removed from the scene. The driver was transported by ambulance to Sanford Medical Center with unknown injuries.
WORTHINGTON — The Nobles County Planning Commission approved a conditional use permit during its Wednesday night meeting for Dustin DeBoer, Adrian, to construct a truck wash on a 15-acre tract in the south half of the southwest quarter of Section 22, Little Rock Township.

ADRIAN — The vehicle that now occupies a stall at the Adrian fire hall bears little resemblance to the vehicle that was previously parked there.
The rust and dirt have been replaced by shiny chrome, lustrous red paint and gorgeous wood grain.
ROUND LAKE — A vehicle went through the ice on Round Lake early Wednesday.
According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Lukas Robert DeWall, 18, of Okabena, was driving a 2001 Dodge pickup truck when it went through the ice at 12:15 a.m. Wednesday on Round Lake.
Members of the Worthington Fire Department quickly doused the flames on a fully engulfed pickup Tuesday afternoon near Worthington Block and Tile. There was no official statement on how the fire started.
ADRIAN — The temperature reading on the Adrian State Bank sign was 98 degrees on Saturday afternoon. That number might have been a few degrees higher than the actual air temperature, but it still felt a lot more like July than Christmas.
Board denies overweight truck hauling petition
WORTHINGTON — A request from a truck driver wanting to haul 90,000-pound loads of soybeans to the Minnesota Soybean Processors facility near Brewster was denied by Nobles County Commissioners during their board meeting on Tuesday.
NORTHWOOD, N.D. - A Northwood, N.D., man was arrested today after he rammed a Geo Metro three times into the police chief’s large four-wheel drive squad truck, the third time a head-on collision that wrecked the tiny car.
