BOULDER, Colo. — The 30-megawatt juwi Wind project in Nobles County is now generating clean, renewable energy to serve about 10,000 homes. The energy is being sold to Xcel Energy Inc. under a 20-year power purchase agreement.
About $67 million was invested in the community to build the 15 REpower MM92 2-megawatt turbines.
Buyer backs out of Jackson County wind energy plan
LAKEFIELD — A massive wind energy project that would have included the building of 134 new 1.5- megawatt wind turbines near Lakefield has been put on hold after the Indianapolis Power & Light Company terminated its power purchase agreement with enXco, the project’s developer.
WORTHINGTON — The Rural Minnesota Energy Board and the Association of Minnesota Counties have identified the wind turbine production tax as their No. 1 priority to be resolved in the upcoming legislative session.

WORTHINGTON — A couple of years ago, Murray County collected more than $1 million in production tax revenue from the wind turbines that span the horizon along the Buffalo Ridge.
enXco to start construction on 134-turbine project in spring 2010
WORTHINGTON — More than 30 people attended an informational meeting Thursday afternoon on the proposed Nobles Wind Project to be constructed in Olney, Dewald, Larkin and Summit Lake townships beginning in the spring of 2010.
From Sept. 1, 2007, through Aug. 31, a recently constructed wind turbine produced 17 percent of the total 20.1 million kilowatt hours used by customers.
