TEA, S.D. — Lewis & Clark reached a historic milestone Monday when it began producing water from a treatment plant near Vermillion, S.D. for distribution to 11 of its 20 member cities and rural water systems.
ST. PAUL — Don’t pitch your tent just yet at Lake Vermilion State Park, and don’t even think about driving that motorhome to a campground there, but state officials say activity will pick up this summer now that Minnesota owns the land.
LUVERNE — The owners of Luverne-based Rural Energy Marketing (REM) will go before the Vermillion, S.D., City Council later this month to tout their proposal to construct an estimated $80 million biodiesel plant about a mile west of town.
GRANITE FALLS — Playing their most consistent match of the season, the Worthington Trojans claimed a 7-0 sweep of host Yellow Medicine East Monday afternoon in a non-conference boys’ tennis match.
“We played a very consistent match,” Worthington head coach Mike Marquardt said. “Because of our consistency, we were able to set up our shots and finish them well.”
