Daily Globe MILROY — With 12 runs in the third inning, the Wabasso Rabbits defeated Southwestern United 19-1 in five innings in a Section 3A baseball game Saturday. Kirk McBreen suffered the loss for SWU, allowing 13 runs while striking out three. Christopher Eichten allowed no earned runs in three innings while striking out seven to earn the victory. McBreen had a hit and scored a run for the Wildcats, while Tyler Timko and James Anderson each had a hit. Garet Rogers led the Wildcats with two hits in the game. Wabasso had five doubles and a home run, as Eichten had a pair of hits and drove in five runs. David Schmidt earned the victory for T-M-B, allowing no earned runs on one hit while walking one and striking out three. Barrett Herrig suffered the loss, allowing eight earned runs while walking six and striking out four in three and two thirds innings. Brandon Fast had the lone hit for ML/B-O, while Jared Bargen’s ground out scored Kyle Schroeder for the only Wolverine run. Taylor Hagberg had a pair of singles, while Anthony Dolan had a two-RBI single in the third. Isaac Dolan had a hit and walked twice, and scored three runs for the Panthers. Kyle Schroeder suffered the loss, allowing one earned runs on six hits while walking four and striking out six for Mountain Lake/Butterfield-Odin. McBreen had a pair of hits and scored a run, while Anderson helped his own cause with two hits and a run scored. Obermolloer scored the game-winning run and had an RBI, while Stenzel drove in two runs in the game. William Cranston also added a hit for SWU (7-13). Ryan Nessler led ML/B-O with three hits, including a double, and also scored a run and drove in a run. Brandon Fast had a pair of hits and scored a run.
