Local business exceeded its original fundraising goal
WORTHINGTON — JBS employees raised $60,556 for the United Way of Nobles County this year, nearly doubling its funds and bringing the group closer to its goal of $140,000.
WORTHINGTON — Worthington Area United Way will sponsor a community celebration at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Chautauqua Park. Free food and beverages will be served prior to the “Amazing” City Band concert to thank individuals and businesses who made donations and volunteers who helped with the 2007-2008 fundraising campaign.
On behalf of the Board of Directors of Worthington Area United Way, I would like thank the Daily Globe for the generous sponsorship of the beach chair auction during this year’s Windsurfing Regatta and Unvarnished Music Festival.
