Concert presentation pays tribute to past director,current students WORTHINGTON — Tuesday evening’s Band Bash featuring the Worthington High School Trojan and Middle School bands ended on an especially high note — the presentation of a plaque honoring one of the band program’s most beloved past directors, the late Glenn K. Evensen.
WORTHINGTON — In less than a week, Megan Cavanaugh will join her classmates, clad in caps and gowns, as they march across the stage and receive their diplomas.
That ritualistic exodus from Worthington High School is a moment Megan anticipates with great excitement — although she admits to a bit of trepidation, too. There are some aspects of high school that she will miss.
“I like the part where I can see my friends every day,” she said. “But I am getting tired of my classes.

WORTHINGTON — As part of the Regional Bioscience Conference, the Worthington Middle School Science Club and Worthington High School Robotics Team showed off their scientific achievements on Friday.
WORTHINGTON — New York City was the destination, with musical and educational expansion as the goal, when 107 Worthington High School (WHS) choral students, led by WHS choir director Kerry Johnson, headed to the Big Apple in late March.
With nine official chaperones and 15 additional “tour tag-alongs,” the 132-member Worthington group boarded three Readings Bus Lines coaches on the afternoon of March 25 — and arrived at their hotel in New Jersey roughly 24 hours later.

WORTHINGTON – Although the Worthington High School (WHS) speech team faces some powerhouse schools in Section 2AA forensics competition today at Mankato West High School, head coach Linda Neugebauer knows her team of 30 students will proceed confidently and with positive attitudes.
