Sibley Christian Reformed hosts concert Sunday
SIBLEY, Iowa — A concert by the Brown Family will be at 5 p.m. Sunday at the Sibley Christian Reformed Church, 115 Maple Drive.
The family is from Le Mars, Iowa, and has been touring across the United States since beginning full-time ministry 13 years ago.
Brown Family to perform at local fundraiser

Missionary to speak at St. Matthew Lutheran
|WORTHINGTON — The Rev. Ryan McDermott, an evangelistic missionary serving in Ghana, West Africa, will speak about his work at 7 p.m. April 10 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 1505 Dover St., Worthington.
McDermott and his family are helping to train Ghanaian pastors to accomplish deaf ministry.
18th annual Quartet Sing slated for April 12 at ARC
WORTHINGTON — The 18th annual Quartet Sing will be at 6 p.m. April 12 at American Reformed Church, 1720 N. Burlington Ave.
Performers will include Master’s Voice, Poured Out, Relative Harmony, Gospel Gold and Cornerstone.
A free-will offering will be taken for the Nobles County Christian Ministerial Association.
St. Kilian Parish plans Spring Celebration
ST. KILIAN — The St. Kilian Parish’s Spring Celebration will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 12 in St. Joseph’s Hall.
A dinner of Swiss steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, spring salad, homemade glazed carrots, assorted pies and desserts will be serve.
Soup and pie on menu at Trinity Lutheran Church
SIBLEY, Iowa — A soup and pie supper will be served for a free-will offering from 5 to 7 p.m. April 15 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 704 Poplar Ave., Sibley.
The menu will feature chili, potato, chicken noodle and vegetable beef soups; barbecues and cheese sandwiches; and a variety of pies and desserts.
Catholic Daughters convention coming up
WORTHINGTON —The Minnesota Catholic Daughters of the Americans 46th Biennial State Convention will be April 17-18 at the Worthington Event Center. Masses will be at St. Mary’s Church, Worthington.
The convention is hosted by Court Santa Maria 247, Adrian; Court St. Bernard 886, Lismore; and Court Madonna 839, Wilmont.
Beautiful Life Conference coming to Luverne
LUVERNE — Beautiful Life Women’s Conferences will have a “Breaking Barriers” conference April 18 at the American Reformed Church, 304 N. Fairview Drive, Luverne. Doors open at 8 a.m. with the conference from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Guest speaker will be Deidra Riggs of Nebraska. There will also be vendor booths, breakfast and a lunch catered by Bluestem.
