Brief: Presenting drainage study findings

WORTHINGTON -- The results of a two-year project between the Heron Lake Watershed District, Son-D-Farms and Loosbrock Farm Draining examining water management and its effects on water quality and crop production will be presented in a workshop at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, at the Nobles County USDA meeting room, 1567 N. McMillan St., Worthington.

The Controlled Drainage System Design and Management Final Workshop will include an overview of the project and of controlled drainage by Minnesota Department of Agriculture and University of Minnesota staff. Economic considerations will be presented by Ag Drainage Management Coalition personnel.

Refreshments will be served, and the meeting is free of charge.
