Human trafficking program offered Oct. 8

WORTHINGTON -- Human trafficking is the second largest and fastest growing criminal industry in the world. The Southwest Crisis Center, in partnership with the Northern Tier Anti-Trafficking Consortium, will host a free public information session on human trafficking in Minnesota from 1-3 p.m. Oct. 8 at the University of Minnesota Regional Extension Center on Prairie Drive, Worthington.

The purpose of the session is to provide the public with an overview of both labor and sex trafficking, where it happens, what it looks like and what resources are available to victims in southwest Minnesota.

The Southwest Crisis Center has contracted with the Northern Tier Anti-Trafficking Consortium to provide a wide variety of services to victims and survivors of both labor and sex trafficking in Minnesota.
