MILFORD, Iowa -- Cooperative Energy Company has a new addition to its convenience store franchise.

Cooperative Energy recently purchased the Boji Junction Convenience Store, located at 2301 Okoboji Ave., and took over management on Aug. 12. The company also owns and operates Jackrabbit Junction in Sibley, Iowa, and Interstate Cenex in Worthington.

"Boji Junction fits right into the geographical growth plan that we've been concentrating on for the last 12 months," said Brian Dreesen, Cooperative Energy general manager in a news release. "Boji Junction will continue much as before, but it will be connected to Cooperative Energy's computer systems so members can use their local Cooperative Energy priority cards there as well as at all other CE Cardtrol locations."

This is the first time Cooperative Energy has bought an existing convenience store location. The purchase follows quickly on the heels of the just-announced opening of Cooperative Energy's Spencer-Everly-Iowa Great Lakes area fuel, diesel and lubricant delivery center, located just north of Spencer.

No physical changes are planned at Boji Junction, according to Dreessen, "but new and returning customers can expect Cooperative Energy's committed personal service, and if members, look forward to patronage refunds on their purchases."

In addition to selling gasoline and standard convenience store fare, Boji Junction is a Picadilly Circus location, offering a selection of take-out food items including pizza, pasta and subs.

Boji Junction is open from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 5 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday.
